About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Verification Engineer to join our team at ARM. As a key member of our Productivity Engineering group, you will play a critical role in delivering and supporting FPGA platforms that enable advanced pre-silicon verification methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verification of Subsystems and IPs: Develop and implement test plans, testbenches, and validation checks for FPGA prototyping purposes, both in simulation and on the FPGA platform.
  • Debugging and Issue Resolution: Collaborate with design teams and FPGA users to debug test failures and issues, and provide solutions to improve the verification process.
  • Automation and Methodology Improvement: Automate flows and methodologies to deploy to the user community, and contribute to the improvement of verification methodologies used by the team.
  • Support and Collaboration: Provide support for the FPGA service to users, and collaborate with cross-site teams to achieve verification goals.
Requirements
  • Hardware Verification Languages: Knowledge of System Verilog, Verilog, and scripting languages like Python, TCL, and Shell.
  • C/C++ Programming: Experience with C/C++ programming language for writing test cases.
  • Verification Experience: Exposure to all stages of verification, including requirement gathering, verification methodology creation, test plan development, testbench implementation, documentation, and support.
  • Validation Experience: Experience with validation for sophisticated SoC products containing multicore and high-speed interfaces like PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, etc.
  • Arm-Based Systems: Understanding of Arm-based systems, including SoC system architecture and AMBA protocols.
Nice to Have
  • Low-Level Programming: Experience with low-level programming, including C and Assembler.
  • Advance Verification Techniques: Knowledge of advance verification techniques like assertions, property checking, etc.
  • Debugging and Visualization: Experience with debugging System and IP-level projects using Verdi or Visualizer.
  • FPGA Flows: Exposure to FPGA flows with AMD Xilinx, including compilation, debug, performance, and implementation of basic features.
  • Linux OS: Basic understanding of Linux OS and kernels.
