Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading special purpose materials manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrical / Electronic Biased engineer to take on a challenging role, working on a variety of equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Reactive and planned maintenance across engineering areas
  • Electrical and electronic fault finding and problem solving on machinery and equipment
  • Special purpose machinery, vacuum systems, industrial processing equipment, lighting and power systems, conveyors, ovens, and heat treatment machinery
  • Fault finding down to electronic component level - circuits, RF drives, PCBs
  • PLC electrical fault finding
  • Soldering, electrical inspection, PAT testing
  • Reading and following circuit and electrical wiring diagrams
  • Carrying out PPM schedules and updating records
  • Conducting machine/equipment testing and procedure improvements

Requirements:

  • Electrical/electronic biased engineer
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and electronic diagrams
  • Experience in manufacturing/production industries
  • Time-served engineer/electrician, ideally ONC/HNC electrical/electronics qualified
  • Fault find/problem solve down to electronic component level
  • RF experience desirable, high voltage experience (AC/DC power supplies) great
  • Good soldering skills, team player with a get stuck in attitude
  • City & Guilds 2391 Elec Inspection & Testing and 17th/18th Edition beneficial, PLC knowledge desirable
  • Able to make own decisions and plan own workload accordingly
