Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join our team at Orion Group. As a Senior Technical Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our projects and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical safety strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide technical support to project teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Lead technical safety reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL, to ensure that safety requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety procedures and protocols.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams to ensure that safety is integrated into all aspects of project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain technical safety documentation, including safety procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in technical safety and apply this knowledge to improve our safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Engineer or certified process safety practitioner status is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in risk identification and assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of technical safety aspects within the energy business.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering), accredited by a relevant chartered engineering institute.
