Credit Risk Manager Job Description

The Credit Risk Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of Specialized U.K. Limited by coordinating the debts of existing creditors and deciding whether to allow credit to a debtor. This position requires strong relationships with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment.
  • Collection of past due amounts by means of maintaining/implementing Direct Debit, sending emails, making calls, and sending dunning letters to customers.
  • Improve by reducing the overdue and outstanding in your specific regions.
  • Review credit hold report and release orders as appropriate.
  • Communicate and enforce credit policy to sales and customers.
  • Accounts reconciliations from bank statements.
  • Review customer account applications, assign credit limits, and terms.
  • Report risk issues and aged customers to the finance manager and sales.
  • Build and maintain A/R reports.
  • Communicating with the manager regarding problems, solutions, and ideas that may improve the credit department and work cohesively towards achieving departmental and company goals.
  • Customer service follow-up.
  • Follow up in case a collection has been handed over to a collection agency.
  • Enter new customers in Oracle.

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of credit experience, preferably in a wholesale/distribution environment dealing with a large account base.
  • English.
  • Other European languages are advantageous.

  • Retailers.
