BGC Group, a leading global brokerage company, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our London office as a Trainee Broker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process trades throughout the day, including entering trades into the Energy trading screen, clearing trades on Exchanges, and resolving any trade queries that may arise.
  • Maintain the trading screen administration tools, including setting up clients' credit risk, creating Trader logins, and setting up new markets when needed.
  • Assist with the onboarding process of new clients, including liaising with Legal on any contractual revisions, arranging Brokerage Agreements, and setting up client accounts in BGC's internal systems.
  • Perform end-of-day reconciliation of trades with the desk to ensure all trades are correct and all processes have been completed.
  • Provide administrative support to the desk, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Must be fluent in Italian and Spanish.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Personal and professional integrity, with a strong sense of ethics and responsibility.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, intense environment, with a strong focus on delivering results.
  • Self-motivated and able to demonstrate initiative, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong numerical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Highly organized, punctual, and proactive, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Competent with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
