About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team as a Clinical Lead. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge, advice, and training to parents, carers, students, and SLT team members in all aspects of management of speech, language, and communication delays and disorders in children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy interventions to children with developmental language disorders and specific speech disorders in clinics and schools and pre-schools.
  • Develop the skills of colleagues to support communication development through providing training.
  • Organise, plan, and prioritise your own workload, and that of assistant staff, and demonstrate the ability to generate appropriate strategies for caseload management.
  • Provide oral and written feedback, advice, and training to parents/family members, carers, and members of the multidisciplinary team regarding communication needs and strategies to facilitate development.
  • Develop and deliver training and support packages.

Requirements

  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree Qualification or equivalent.
  • HCPC Licence to Practice.
  • Experience working with clients who have a range of speech, language, and communication needs in community and mainstream settings.
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency and/or multi-disciplinary team.
