Senior Finance Business Partner

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team in Barnsley. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the central accounts team and working closely with regional commercial teams.
Main Responsibilities:- Financial Data Review: Ensure the integrity of financial data from live projects at period ends.
- Analysis and Reporting: Collate and summarise information from multiple sites to provide an overview analysis for finance and non-financial managers.
- Business Growth: Work with regional commercial directors to grow business through bids and tendering support, and manage risk in project portfolios.
- External Audit Support: Assist regional Commercial Managers during external audits of the contract portfolio.
- Internal Controls: Work with the finance and commercial teams to manage internal controls, processes, and procedures.
- System Development: Act as an accounting subject-matter expert and influence system development within the organisation.
- M&A Support: Support analysis required resulting from M&A activity.
- Performance Improvement: Implement and deliver improved all-round performance, management information, and support corporate goals.
- Management Accounts: Produce management accounts information as allocated to support budgets and forecasting.
- Relationship Building: Develop good working relationships with budget holders, influencing and challenging as necessary.
- Cash Position Management: Challenge cash positions on contracts with commercial teams as necessary.
- Team Management: Manage and develop an assistant finance business partner.
- Qualifications: Qualified accountant or CIMA finalist.
- Experience: Experience working in a similar role within a Finance Business Partnering position or Management Accountant.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and flexible work ethic.
