About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Cheltenham, UK. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and prepare menus, ensuring consistency and excellence in food presentation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and professionalism.
  • Ensure seamless kitchen operations during service, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Develop and implement inventory management systems to optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of kitchen management.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a focus on presentation and flavor.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred), with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
