Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and managing manufacturing projects to drive process improvement and increase production capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement manufacturing systems to optimize production processes.
  2. Lead and support the design for manufacture best practices, operation excellence process validation, and lean operation excellence.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to develop and manage projects to ensure efficient and cost-effective systems and processes.
  4. Provide application, procurement, processing, installation, and capability of new fabrication, material handling, test, heat treat, welding, painting, and/or chemical processes and equipment.
  5. Design, develop, and implement the integration of manufacturing systems, including factory control software, scheduling techniques, simulation, and systems application.
  6. Coordinate, plan, monitor, and report the activities associated with flow analysis, design, financial modeling, and implementation of complex manufacturing group technology cells in an assigned area.
  7. Support the purchase and application of machine tools, controls, and related equipment corporate-wide to ensure the latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and economy of operations.
  8. Support the design of complex or intricate jigs and fixtures.

Essential Skills:

  1. Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or welded assemblies, high-value, low-volume environment.
  2. Demonstrable experience in workforce planning, resource planning, increased work capacities during a significant increase in production over a relatively short period of time.
  3. Process improvement, process optimization, design, develop, and implement manufacturing systems.
  4. Strong project management experience and ability to demonstrate previous projects where production has been significantly increased in volume.
  5. Ideal Price 2 qualifications.
  6. Insourcing vs outsourcing.
  7. APQP/PPAP interpretation and recommendations related to workforce/labor allocation.
  8. Demonstrable improvements on processes and process optimization.
