Job Title: Apprentice Fabrication Engineer

We're seeking a talented Graduate Engineer to join our team as an Apprentice Fabrication Engineer. As a key member of our site support team, you'll play a crucial role in the delivery of medium and large contracts, focusing on safety, quality, cost control, performance to programme, and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting projects across the UK, combining on-site and office-based work
  • Communicating progress regularly with clients and working closely with site teams
  • Ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Directing trial pit and borehole locations and sampling
  • Executing grouting and conducting specific in-situ testing
  • Logging soils and rock, preparing laboratory test schedules, and managing contract reports

To succeed in this role, you'll need a degree in Civil Engineering or a Geology-related subject, with a good understanding of ground conditions, drilling, and site investigation work. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are also essential, as you'll need to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.

At Soil Engineering Geoservices, our highly skilled team provides leading geotechnical expertise through ground investigation, drilling and grouting, and geotechnical testing from three bases across the country. With over 60 years of business experience, we're capable of undertaking a wide range of investigative and remediation techniques, including land and nearshore marine investigations, works in secure or high-risk environments, and difficult and restricted access projects.
