Job Summary

VANRATH is pleased to partner with a leading organization in Northern Ireland, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on an initial 6-month interim contract. This role offers a finance professional the opportunity to advance their career within the public sector.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing vendor invoices, recording invoices according to company policy, and maintaining accuracy in processing AP transactions. They will also manage purchase orders, prepare weekly payments to vendors and employees, and review employee expense reports.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with a proven track record in accounts payable and general accounting experience in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, management, and auditors. Key responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing and recording vendor invoices
  • Maintaining accuracy in processing AP transactions
  • Managing purchase orders
  • Preparing weekly payments to vendors and employees
  • Reviewing employee expense reports
