About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Budwood, a local business providing Residential Care and Support to children and young adults with emotional behavioural difficulties as well as social and emotional mental health.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high levels of support and guidance to our young people, helping them to develop new skills and achieve a successful transition to independence and adulthood.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Experience of working with children and young people, with a good understanding of the issues that face young people in care.
  • Flexibility in your availability, as you will be required to cover sicknesses, annual leave, and a range of hours/shifts.
  • Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young people.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with our young people.
  • Working well as part of a team and being able to accept direction and guidance.
  • Encouraging the development of the individual interests of our young people.
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
  • Have a full UK driving licence and car, as this role will involve travelling.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Be willing to learn and undertake a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
