**Regulatory Expert Sought for Blockchain Ventures**

We are looking for an experienced legal professional to join our team as Legal Counsel, EMEA Regulatory. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney to contribute to the development of regulatory strategies in the digital assets market.

About the Position:

  1. Advise on regulatory matters, including compliance with local laws applicable to products and services offered by crypto firms, particularly MiCAR, licensing and registration, financial crime, conduct of business, and reporting obligations.
  2. Support international expansion by collaborating with local counsel to assess new territories and apply for new licenses or expand existing ones.
  3. Collaborate with the business to analyze regulatory requirements when assessing new products or services.
  4. Stay up-to-date with new regulatory developments in the fast-evolving EMEA cryptocurrency regulation landscape.
  5. Work closely with Risk and Compliance to establish global systems and controls ensuring regulatory compliance.
  6. Provide internal training to non-legal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • JD/Law Degree and admission to practice in the EU or UK.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience from a top-tier law firm or in-house.
  • Some experience in an in-house environment in a financial institution or FinTech (can be via secondment).
  • Ability to anticipate legal issues or risks and build processes and systems to proactively address them.
  • Track record of building and maintaining productive relationships with business and corporate functional leaders.
