Lead a Team of Educators in Early Childhood Development

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our team at Candidex UK Limited in Kingston upon Thames. This state-of-the-art nursery center is designed to provide a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children aged 0-5.

The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with Ofsted requirements and all other relevant regulations. You will develop and implement educational programs that foster the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of our young learners.

  • About the Role: As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care and education, establishing a positive and welcoming environment for children and staff alike.
  • Your Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of educators, ensuring ongoing professional development and high staff morale.
  2. Cultivate strong relationships with parents, staff, and the local community, positioning the nursery as a key community resource.
  3. Develop and maintain educational programs aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  4. Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted inspections.
  5. Manage administrative duties such as budgeting, resource management, and record-keeping.

Requirements:

  • A minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and ability to develop programs aligned with it.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passionate about early childhood education and committed to maintaining high standards of care.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • First Aid certification and enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
