Physical Health Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Physical Health Nurse to join our team at Priory Group. As a Physical Health Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality physical healthcare assessments and care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical healthcare assessments on admission and develop care plans that meet individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with medical colleagues to ensure comprehensive care and provide training and support to nursing staff on physical healthcare needs.
- Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
- Lead on IPC audits and ensure outbreaks are reported and managed in accordance with Group and Divisional policy.
- Act as a resource for IPC and medical devices, facilitating audits, checks, and actions.
- Develop and maintain a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues, and visitors.
- Support Smoking Cessation programs and participate in clinical supervision and reflective practice.
Requirements
- Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with 2 years post-registration experience and active NMC registration.
- Knowledge of NMC guidelines and professional practices.
- Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
