Join Our Team as a Lead Analytics Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Analytics Engineer to join our Operations team at Monzo. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in overseeing our foundational data platforms, identifying opportunities to enhance our current capabilities, and driving the re-architecture of entire domains across Operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust data models in BigQuery to support internal reporting, machine learning, and large language models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain best practices for our Data Warehouse, including source data payload design, logical data modeling, implementation, metadata, and testing standards.
  • Contribute to prioritizing data governance issues and ensuring a comprehensive approach to data integrity and compliance.
  • Lead technical initiatives to elevate data standards across Operations and beyond.
Requirements:
  • Strong passion for data modeling, ETL projects, and Big Data.
  • Experience building robust and reliable data sets that require a high level of control.
  • Ability to think strategically about credit products and how our underlying data models will unlock more insights for our team and more value for our customers.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to shape big, ambiguous data domains and get buy-in from key leaders across the business.
