About the Role:

We are seeking a Process Hazard Manager to join our team in the North of Scotland. This is a key position that requires technical leadership and support to identify hazards, assess risks, and provide cost-efficient management solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate process risk assessments and develop safety operating practices to support plant operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to identify hazards, assess risks, and provide cost-efficient management solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
  • Develop safety training programs for staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety procedures.
  • Lead investigations into process safety incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety legislation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Continual improvement of process safety management systems.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in process safety.
  2. Strong knowledge of process safety management systems.
  3. Well-grounded understanding of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR), Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations, and Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR).
  4. Background in Process Safety or alternatively experience working in Anaerobic Digestion (AD) / Water Treatment / Chemical or Energy plants would be beneficial.
  5. Full UK car driving licence.
  6. Located in the North of Scotland and happy to travel between the three sites.
  7. Must be flexible and happy to travel extensively.
