Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Premises Officer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the current team with general maintenance and repairs in and around the school facilities.

The Role

The School Premises Officer will work closely with the premises manager and the premises team to ensure the school site is opened and closed at the designated time. Key responsibilities will include:

  • General Maintenance and Repairs: Support with general maintenance and repairs in and around the school facilities.
  • Event Preparation: Prepare areas within the school for events, including furniture setup and other necessary arrangements.
  • Site Supervision: Be part of the premises team to ensure the school site is secure and well-maintained.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with the premises manager, cleaning staff, and external contractors as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must be physically fit and have experience working in building maintenance. Previous experience in schools, colleges, or educational settings is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will have a dedicated and professional approach and be able to hold an Enhanced DBS or be prepared to have one processed.
