CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Antibody Discovery Scientist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based at our client's site in Slough.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Antibody Discovery Projects: Plan and execute in vitro display library selections and screening experiments to identify high-quality antibodies.
- Develop Display Libraries: Generate bespoke display libraries to support bovine antibody engineering projects.
- Assess Antibody Specificity and Affinity: Perform a range of binding assays to evaluate the specificity and affinity of engineered antibodies.
- Drive Innovative Projects: Utilize excellent communication and team working skills to drive the innovative antibody project forward from the laboratory.
- Present Experimental Data: Present experimental data at cross-functional meetings to ensure project progress and success.
- Contribute to Methodology Development: Contribute to the development of new methodologies and techniques in antibody discovery and engineering.
- Postgraduate Qualification: A postgraduate (ideally PhD-level) scientist with a good understanding of immunology and antibody structure and function, or equivalent working experience.
- Antibody Research Experience: Experience in antibody research would be desirable.
- Molecular Biology Techniques: A solid understanding and proven experience of molecular biology techniques, including phage and yeast display, and flow cytometry.
- Biochemical Techniques: Experience of biochemical techniques used for molecular characterization, such as ELISA, FACS, SPR, or BLI, and antibody expression/purification.
- NGS Approaches: Experience of NGS approaches to antibody discovery would be advantageous.
