Opportunity for a Clinical Photographer in Ophthalmology

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is a leading healthcare provider in the UK, employing over 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver a wide range of services, including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care, to a population of over 1.15 million.

The successful candidate will work within the Gartnavel General Hospital, Glasgow, as part of Medical Illustration Services. This role requires a professional ophthalmic and clinical service, delivering high-quality patient care in a safe and secure environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing ophthalmic imaging services to support the development of a well-established ophthalmic imaging service across NHS GGC.
  • Working with both adults and children, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Contributing to the development of staff and services through training, quality control, and performance review.

The ideal candidate will have extensive ophthalmic imaging experience, be educated to degree-level in ophthalmic imaging or clinical photography, and be registered with the national AHCS register. Full membership of a professional body is also required.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 5 days over 7, 365 days per year, including public holidays. The role requires 7.5 hours and 12-hour shift working.
