We are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Specialist to join our team in a primary school based in Newham, London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real difference in the lives of children.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant with a Speech and Language background, focusing on KS1 and KS2 students. The role involves working closely with another staff member, sharing responsibility between classroom support and individualised support for a non-verbal child with Speech and Language difficulties.

This position requires a strong understanding of PECS and Welcome systems, although knowledge of other communication methods is also beneficial. We are looking for someone who can provide effective support to our students, promote their social and emotional development, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:
  • To provide high-quality support to students with Speech and Language needs, promoting their social and emotional development and contributing to a positive learning environment.
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement effective strategies to support students' learning and progress.
  • To maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the students' care.

For this challenging yet rewarding role, we are offering a competitive salary of £120 per day, depending on experience, and a supportive working environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
