We are seeking a skilled Principal Estimator to lead and take ownership of the estimating process for our high-value projects. As a key member of our preconstruction team, you will collaborate with supply chain partners to deliver accurate costs and ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and own the estimating process from contract signing to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate cost proposals.
- Develop and implement a tender procurement strategy to meet project needs, including profit planning and supply chain engagement.
- Complete or manage project take-offs to the required level of detail, up to SMM 7/NRM2 for all trades.
- Provide detailed cost information packages during the substantiation process, including comparisons, bills of quantities, and quotations.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure logistics, programmes, sequencing, and buildability activities are accounted for during substantiation.
- Review performance of supply chain partners with the site team.
- Ensure all design/survey fees are captured within proposed costs.
- Deliver successful tenders using Conquest Estimating system or similar.
- Good demonstrable standard of written and spoken English.
- Appropriate CSCS card.
