Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Midday Supervisor to join our team at a special educational needs (SEN) school in York. As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and positive environment for our students during lunchtime. Your responsibilities will include supervising students, managing play activities, and promoting positive behaviour while ensuring the well-being of all children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during lunch hours and playtime
- Support children with special educational needs in a nurturing manner
- Encourage positive social interactions and promote inclusive play
- Ensure the safety and welfare of students at all times
- Report any concerns to school staff as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting
- A caring and patient attitude towards children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
