Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Midday Supervisor to join our team at a special educational needs (SEN) school in York. As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and positive environment for our students during lunchtime. Your responsibilities will include supervising students, managing play activities, and promoting positive behaviour while ensuring the well-being of all children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students during lunch hours and playtime
  • Support children with special educational needs in a nurturing manner
  • Encourage positive social interactions and promote inclusive play
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of students at all times
  • Report any concerns to school staff as required

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in an SEN setting
  • A caring and patient attitude towards children
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
