About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Consents and Environment Graduate. As a specialist in this role, you will work closely with experts in your field, gaining exposure within a business area and developing relevant experience that will lead to a substantive post.

SSEN Transmission is a leading player in the transition to a low-carbon future, developing, building, maintaining, and operating a network for net zero. As a member of our team, you will support our Delivery Consents and Environmental Managers in coordinating and monitoring contractor and internal environmental and consenting compliance.

Opportunities exist to work on bespoke consents and environmental initiatives, adding value to our project teams and contractor base. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and industry-leading company.

What You'll Need
  • A minimum of a 2:2 bachelor's degree in Geography, Town Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Biodiversity Net Gain, Environmental Restoration, Natural Sciences, Biology, Law, or Zoology
  • Practical work experience reflecting your passion for the energy sector
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a team
  • Comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets
  • Ability to use your own initiative to overcome challenges
