Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have experience in neuro rehabilitation and be able to provide assessment, acute rehabilitation, and timely discharge for patients transferred from the acute hospitals.

Responsibilities
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide occupational therapy services to patients with neurological conditions.
  • To assess patients' needs and develop personalized care plans to promote independence and recovery.
  • To collaborate with physiotherapists, nurses, and community teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • To participate in weekend working at Stoke Mandeville or Wycombe Hospital as required.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Health Professions Council.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) and a commitment to reflective practice.
  • Experience in acute medical discharge planning, neurology, amputees, falls, and other pathologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team and contribute to decision-making.
