About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Tendering Specialist to join our team at Mercury Hampton. As a Sales and Tendering Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our external sales teams with technical proposals that drive profitable business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to prepare tenders, manage contracts, and drive sales generation, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver value-added solutions.
  • Communicate customer requirements internally and manage order handovers, ensuring seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel to various locations as needed to support external sales activities, building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with enthusiasm and professionalism, consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Requirements
  • GCSE in Maths, English, and a Science or ICT subject, demonstrating a strong foundation in core subjects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with experience in CRM applications and project management tools a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with the UK Electrical Utilities Market, including sectors such as DNO, IDNO, ICP, EV, Renewables, and rail, providing a solid understanding of the industry landscape.
