International Finance Specialist

Figma is a leading design and development company that empowers product teams to create better products through efficient collaboration and design tools. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in shaping and developing the international finance function, with a focus on scale and growth.

This role will be part of our growing International accounting department, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing month-end close activities, including journal postings and monthly flux analysis under US GAAP, with a focus on meeting tight deadlines.
  • Conducting balance sheet reconciliations for bank, prepaids, fixed assets, and other key balance sheet accounts for Figma's international entities.
  • Partnering with the US accounting team to ensure alignment with accounting processes and controls.
  • Liaising with external auditors to support the statutory audit process.
  • Preparing local currency reconciliations, client schedules, and financial statements for the statutory audit cycle.
  • Supporting the rollout of international expansion projects and implementation of new accounting systems.
  • Developing and refining day-to-day tasks and implementing new processes within the accounting organization.
  • Building strong business partnerships with key budget owners.
  • Supporting ad-hoc activities and projects as needed.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with 1 year or less experience in PQE.
  • Experience and understanding as an Accountant in industry-like minded companies.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Experience in statutory reporting processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Prior experience in accounting systems (NetSuite is a plus) and broader systems experience, such as excellent MS office skills, is also desirable. If you are a self-starter with a desire to work in a fast-paced, scaling international organization, we encourage you to apply.
