Job Summary

The Department of Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Scientist Lead for Governance and Quality. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the quality system within the department.

Main Duties
  1. Direct and lead the team in ensuring the ongoing registration and certification of the quality system.
  2. Provide specialist knowledge to ensure the Trust's Medical Physics services become progressively more effective.
  3. Be the responsible officer for all aspects of quality, standards, and governance within the department.
  4. Secure compliance with internal policies and external bodies.
  5. Act as the responsible officer for provision of all departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Act as the risk manager for the department.
  7. Provide training in quality management.
  8. Professionally manage deputy quality manager and line manage quality and governance officer.
  9. Support the department in progressing quality improvement projects.
