Job Role: Combustion Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Combustion Engineer to join our team at a secure facility. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues to maintain and repair heating systems, commercial catering gas appliances, and other equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements, as well as Gas Safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve maintenance issues, and to implement improvements to our facilities.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of commercial catering gas appliances and their safe operation.
  • Provide excellent organisational, time management, and people skills to support the team and ensure effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Two years experience working in a role as a heating engineer, a combustion engineer or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Familiarity with and ability to work to Gas safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry standards.
  • Experience of working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficial.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units.
  • COCN1 - Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
