We are seeking several Service Technicians to work remotely across various locations in the UK, covering Greater Manchester, Southampton, Hemel Hempstead/Bedford, South Coast, South Wales, South East/London, and Leeds.

This role would be ideal for semi-skilled technicians and hobbyists with mechanical/electrical knowledge, as we provide full training, van, and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing of vehicle-powered and diesel engine road transport refrigeration units
  • Calibrating and completing F-Gas certification (once qualified)
  • Optimizing and maintaining engineer van stock to ensure efficient service delivery to MFS customers
  • Ensuring relevant safety checks are carried out on the company van daily
  • Maintaining product and customer requirements knowledge to meet ISO9001 standards
  • Undertaking company training and self-development through the Certi-Tech certification process
  • Liaising with the central coordination team regarding job start and completion times, downtime, and overtime authorization
  • Completing all relevant paperwork and online requirements to maintain a high standard of customer interface
  • Performing other duties and projects that correspond to the general character of the position
  • Ensuring adherence to company procedures in line with company policies, Health & Safety procedures, and ISO9001 standards
  • Service technicians may be supervised where applicable
  • Ensuring customer service is a priority and maintaining a first-rate corporate image (self, van, tools, spares)

Requirements:

  • GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C's or above
  • Able to work on own initiative in a safe and professional manner, maintaining customers' units and company property to the highest standards
  • Mechanical knowledge or experience is preferable
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office), PDA use
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Numerate, literate, methodical, systematic
  • Attention to detail and target-driven
  • Customer Service Skills & Relationship building skills
  • Punctuality and efficiency
  • Clean UK driving license
  • Extensive travel required, including overnight stays and working on customer sites
  • Physically fit to perform required tasks
  • Weekend and some alternative shift patterns may be required in line with business demands
