Buckland Manor, a prestigious member of Relais & Châteaux, is a 4 AA red star, 3 AA rosette hotel nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to assist our Head Chef in the daily operations of our kitchen. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen brigade, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and contributing to menu development and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Manage the kitchen brigade, ensuring that all team members are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and execute menus that meet the high standards of Relais & Châteaux.
  • Conduct inventory control and ordering to ensure that all ingredients and supplies are available when needed.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and equipped to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a high-end kitchen, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Own transportation is essential due to the location of the hotel.
