At HSB Technical, we are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to lead our team in Brixham. With a competitive salary of £35,000+, this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of our marine engineering company.

As a Marine Engineer Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. You will develop and implement maintenance schedules for marine vessels and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and oversee the daily operations of the workshop.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for marine vessels and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of marine technicians and engineers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development for staff.
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a range of marine engines and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to propulsion systems, auxiliary equipment, and other marine systems.
  • Ensure all repair and maintenance work is completed to the highest quality standards.
  • Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide technical advice.
  • Ensure all documentation and certification requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ in marine engineering or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to travel to Brixham.
  • Full UK Driver's License required.
