The Commercial Asset Manager will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management and optimization of our battery storage assets. This role involves ensuring optimal profitability, managing financial performance, and driving strategic initiatives to maximize asset value.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management: Oversee the day-to-day commercial operations of battery storage assets to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making across revenue and OPEX.
  • Contract Management: Manage and negotiate contracts with stakeholders, including off-takers, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular commercial reports to senior management and investors.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop strategies to enhance asset value, including revenue optimization and cost management initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including RTM's, insurance, and industry partners.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset operations and market conditions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset management, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, particularly battery storage and renewable energy.
  • Excellent analytical skills (financial modeling a plus).
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, Python, Power BI).
  • Organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the enthusiasm & drive to work in a high growth environment.
