Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant - Support Role

Job Description:

New Directions Holding is seeking a dedicated Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant for a SEND school located in Fazakerley. This long-term role requires a compassionate and skilled individual to support children with Autism (ASD) and Complex Learning Difficulties (CLD). The successful candidate will work closely with students to create a positive, nurturing environment, helping them navigate their unique challenges and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Be encouraging and supportive.
  • Have a positive attitude towards teaching and aiding children development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the student.

Requirements:

  • Have experience working with children, or adults, with additional needs.
  • Able to support children of all abilities.
  • Have a positive and ambitious attitude to learning.
