Assistant Head of Department Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Assistant Head of Department for the Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades Department at our esteemed college in Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Multi-Skills Trowel Trades teams, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement a teaching support cover rota for the Department, guaranteeing adequate coverage and minimizing disruptions.
  • Support, develop, and embed a collaborative approach to planning, preparation, and adaptation of resources, fostering a culture of excellence and student success.
  • Embed English & Maths throughout the curriculum and at the centre of all study programmes, promoting a holistic and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and act upon poor attendance, punctuality, and behaviour in line with college processes and procedures, ensuring area and College targets are met.
  • Develop industry contacts to ensure currency of curriculum content and provide work experience opportunities, enriching the student experience.

What We Offer:

As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £40,000-£43,000, a full-time permanent position, and the opportunity to work with an exceptional college in Cambridge.
