Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Willcox Matthews. As a Maintenance Engineer Apprentice, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure, providing CMMS data to support maintenance activities.
  • Carry out Planned and Preventative maintenance to agreed schedules, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and running efficiently.
  • Diagnose faults and test, repair, and maintain Mechanical / Electrical equipment, using technical service instruction data to inform your work.
  • Record work carried out in CMMS, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Interpret and implement technical service instruction data, ensuring compliance with OEM and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective handover of information across shifts, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Identify and implement improvements to maintenance processes and procedures, using data and analysis to inform your decisions.
  • Use CMMS historical data to inform improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Adhere to best practices and Health and Safety requirements, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with CMMS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to Health and Safety, with a focus on preventing accidents and ensuring a safe working environment.
