Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Podiatrist Specialist to join our team at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our podiatry services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake assessments, diagnoses, and treatments of patients with a range of foot care needs, including those with diabetes and at-risk feet.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and carers to ensure effective communication and care planning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date with best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as a Podiatrist with relevant clinical qualifications.
  • Post-registration experience in podiatry, preferably in a community or hospital setting.
  • Certificate of Local Anaesthesia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Competent computer skills, including experience with SystmOne.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Diabetes Foot Module certification.
  • RCOP Vascula Foot Module certification.
  • Previous experience working in a community or hospital setting.
