We are seeking an exceptional Special Education Needs Teaching Associate to join our team at Dunbar Education. This role offers a unique opportunity to support students with Autism in a specialist school setting.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development. Working closely with experienced teachers and SEN professionals, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment tailored to each child's needs.

  • Providing individualised support to students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to develop and deliver tailored lessons that meet the needs of pupils with Autism.
  • Developing and implementing behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies to ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (Desirable)
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN, particularly Autism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with colleagues and students
  • Previous experience in an SEN environment is advantageous but not essential

Estimated Salary:** £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
