About the Role

We are looking for a skilled accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience to manage and oversee our organisation's financial processes. The successful candidate will have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and previous experience using Xero accountancy software.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting monthly accounts, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, and addressing any financial compliance matters. They will also oversee the company's compliance with tax legislation and regulations, including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/NIC.

Responsibilities
  1. Managing and overseeing the organisation's month-end/Year-end financial processes
  2. Preparing and presenting monthly accounts
  3. Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared on a monthly basis, all balances are correct, and differences are investigated
  4. Variance and trend analysis
  5. Addressing any other financial compliance matters
  6. Overseeing the company's compliance with tax legislation and regulations, including VAT, Corporation Tax, PAYE/NIC
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience
  • A good working knowledge of UK GAAP accounting standards
  • Previous experience using the Xero accountancy software
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience of the audit process, reconciliations, and statutory accounts
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary depending on experience, ranging from £45,000 to £65,000 per annum, as well as an annual discretionary performance bonus. Other benefits include:
