Job Title: Old Age Mental Health Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Community Old Age Consultant Psychiatrist. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working within the Waltham Forest Memory Service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior medical support and guidance to the multidisciplinary teams providing care to older adult people with mental health needs in Waltham Forest.
- Work directly with older adults and their families, and liaise with other external older adult mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Participate in the on-call rota with a Category A on-call supplement (pro-rata).
- Support peers and team leaders, and be an effective team member while allowing them to work independently.

Person Specification:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- CCT or equivalent.
- Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
- Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
- Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.

Salary and Benefits:
This role comes with a salary of £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (pro-rata), along with a range of benefits including relocation expenses, career development opportunities, and a comprehensive employee assistance programme.
