Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Facilities Operative to join our team at Renfrewshire Council. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for supervising staff and ensuring the effective delivery of our Soft Facilities Management service in schools across Renfrewshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff at site level to ensure the delivery of all aspects of the Soft FM service, including building and grounds cleaning, catering, school crossing patrol, security, and other related services.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers and colleagues, and provide training and development opportunities for Facilities Operatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve high-quality service delivery and meet the needs of our customers.
  • Develop and maintain a flexible approach to working hours to meet the demands of the service.
Requirements
  • Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to work towards it.
  • Flexibility to work in a customer-focused environment and willingness to work as part of a team.
