Iwoca is a leading fintech company that empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities. As a Data Insights Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving this mission forward by developing insights for our credit assessment model.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative team and contribute to shaping the future of finance. You will work collaboratively with experienced data scientists across Iwoca, sharing expertise and applying your knowledge to drive business growth. Your primary focus will be on designing and analysing tests, building statistical models, and exploring new features to enhance our data capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth data assessments to identify new features that can improve model precision and reliability.
  • Develop and test initial model iterations, refining them as needed, and investigating supplementary data sources to enrich the model's accuracy.
  • Play a strategic role in shaping Iwoca's data science roadmap, identifying emerging techniques, and championing best practices.
Requirements
  • Possess strong proficiency in data manipulation and modelling tools, such as pandas, statsmodels, and R.
  • Have experience with scientific computing and tooling.
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage projects end-to-end.
Bonus Requirements
  • Experience building machine learning models from scratch.
  • Advanced knowledge of stochastic processes and related mathematical techniques.
  • Experience with Bayesian analysis.

What We Offer
  • An estimated salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
