About Us

Moon Hall School is a leading educational institution in Reigate, dedicated to providing a high-quality learning experience for students. Our Site Maintenance Team plays a crucial role in maintaining the school's facilities and grounds, and we are now seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

As a Site Maintenance Team Member, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including routine and emergency site repairs, maintenance and refurbishments, as well as completion of routine planned preventive maintenance checks. You will also be required to undertake routine health and safety and compliance checks, porterage, ad-hoc cleaning, general caretaking duties, and carrying out day-to-day maintenance and repairs including decorating during school holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routine and emergency site repairs, maintenance and refurbishments;
  • Completion of routine planned preventive maintenance checks;
  • Routine health and safety and compliance checks;
  • Porterage;
  • Ad-hoc cleaning;
  • General caretaking duties;
  • Carrying out day to day maintenance and repairs including decorating during school holidays;
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence;
  • Strong enthusiasm and enjoyment for practical work;
  • An understanding of or be willing to learn practical skills;
  • An understanding of or be willing to learn how to fix basic plumbing issues;
  • Willing to carry out general maintenance and decorating tasks;
  • Willing to use a lawnmower and hedge cutter;
  • Willingness to undertake health and safety/compliance training to carry out checks;
  • Knowledge of health and safety and hygiene procedures and precautions;
  • Awareness of COSHH regulations;
  • Have a personal commitment to doing work to a high standard;
  • Demonstrate high levels of initiative and commitment and have lots of energy;
  • Have the ability to form excellent working relationships with colleagues;
  • Be flexible and adaptable;
  • Have integrity, a great sense of humour and be fun to work with;
  • Be willing and flexible with working hours;
  • Demonstrate some competence in the use of ICT;
Work Environment

Moon Hall School offers a competitive salary of £26,000 - £31,000 per year, as well as on-site parking and opportunities for professional development. Estimated salary: £27,000 - £33,000 per year.
