About the role and what we're looking for

We're seeking a skilled Litigation Solicitor to provide responsive legal services to South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils. This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week from our designated office base or hybrid remote location.

The successful candidate will have expertise in criminal litigation, including prosecutions and appeals, as well as civil litigation covering claims, liability orders, and inquiries.

Salary: £48,530 - 54,064 per annum

Key duties include representing the councils in courts, tribunals, and inquiries, supporting debt recovery efforts, and providing expert advice on environmental health, housing, planning, and licensing matters.
