About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our highly regarded Commercial and Corporate Finance Business team at Birkett Long LLP. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth and success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of share sale and purchase agreements;
  • Provide advice on asset sale and purchase transactions;
  • Support the team in handling Management Buy Outs, Employee Ownership Trusts, and other corporate transactions;
  • Conduct research and provide analysis on corporate governance and directors' duties;
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, including shareholder agreements and joint ventures;
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement business development strategies;
  • Provide exceptional client service and communication skills to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in corporate and commercial law.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in handling a busy caseload and delivering high-quality advice;
  • Excellent client and team communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide succinct and commercial advice;
  • Ability to work outside normal office hours and attend marketing events as required;
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to use case management systems.
