Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Nursing Team at KIMS Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role:

  • This full-time permanent position involves working 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and evenings.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy surgical list, providing care to inpatients and day surgery patients throughout their hospital journey.
  • This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to NMC standards and codes of conduct.
  • Assess, plan, and deliver care based on individual patient needs, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, respecting patient confidentiality and privacy.
  • Act as a role model, promoting a learning environment and contributing to the development of others.

Person Specification:

  • Current registration with the NMC as a qualified Adult Nurse.
  • Post-registration clinical experience, preferably in surgical nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, consultants, and patients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical governance principles and their application in practice.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and documentation.
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty would be an advantage.
