Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Lifting Specialist to join our team at Sir Robert McAlpine. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of lifting operations on assigned projects.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of lifting equipment, including tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, MEWPs, and other specialized gear. Your expertise in lifting operations will be crucial in ensuring compliance with relevant plans and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lifting operations, with experience in coordinating and executing complex lifting plans. You will also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to brief lifting teams and assess understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and control lifting operations on assigned projects.
  • Monitor, review, and revise lift plans and risk assessments.
  • Ensure lifting equipment and methodologies comply with relevant plans and regulations.
  • Conduct lifting team briefings and risk assessments.
  • Maintain registers of plant operators, lift supervisors, and statutory inspections.
  • Manage monthly lifting team meetings and periodic site attendance.

Requirements:

  • CPCS A61 (competent) with diverse lifting experience and equipment management.
  • CPCS A40A Slinger Signaller (competent) or equivalent.
  • Current SMSTS certificate.
  • Ability to brief lifting operations and assess understanding.
  • Practical experience with tower cranes, mobile and crawler cranes, MEWPs, and other lifting equipment.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
