About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our Shared Lives team as a Shared Lives Carer. As a Shared Lives Carer, you will provide support and companionship to adults with additional needs, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to adults with additional needs
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household chores
  • Encourage independence and participation in community activities
  • Work collaboratively with the individual, their family, and other professionals to develop a personalized support plan
  • Provide respite care on a short-break or live-in basis
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A spare room in your home
  • A warm and welcoming attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
