Role Overview

XB Consultants is seeking an ambitious Sales Engineer to join their international Mechanical Engineering Group based in the UK. This is a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Sales Engineer looking to develop their skills in a world-leading company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships across the UK.
  • Maximise existing customers and develop new business opportunities, including OEM and distribution.
  • Work closely with customers to provide product support, in association with technical and engineering teams.
  • Report directly to the Sales Director.
  • Promote products to customers and develop a multi-channel approach.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to share market and product insights, trends, data, and competitor analysis.
  • Continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on publications, marketing materials, etc.
  • Travel across the territory for customer meetings, trade shows, etc. (approximately 30-40% of the time).
  • Prepare weekly reports and manage the CRM system.

Candidate Profile

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in an Engineering or Business-related subject.
  • At least 4 years of experience in B2B sales or account management.
  • Experience in the industrial or mechanical engineering sector.
  • A proven track record of sales and customer success in various channels, including direct, OEM, and distributor.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Happy to travel across the UK as required (approximately 30%).
  • Able to work effectively in a close team environment as well as independently.
