Job Title: Community Inpatient Elderly/Intermediate Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Doctor to join our team in the Dementia Crisis Support Team (DCST) at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Inpatient Elderly/Intermediate Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to older adult people with mental health needs across Brentwood, Thurrock, and Basildon.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
  • Develop links with local acute trusts A&E departments and inpatient wards.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
